Upcoming Release 🛠
Meta’s Groundbreaking Generative Speech Model
Meta AI's researchers have pioneered a novel generative AI for speech, called Voicebox. Distinct from previous models that necessitate task-specific training, Voicebox exhibits an unprecedented ability to adapt to tasks it was not explicitly trained to execute. It surpasses competing models, including Vall-E and YourTTS, in terms of word error rate and audio style similarity.
Graph: Meta demonstrates the reduced error rate in it’s new model compared to previous competitors.
Voicebox can synthesize high-quality audio clips across six languages and is proficient in noise removal, content editing, style conversion, and diverse sample generation. Given the potential for misuse, Meta AI has consciously decided against making the model or code publicly available at this juncture.
It’s unclear at the moment how much, if at all, Voicebox will cost. Watch the demo yourself here:

News & Insights 🗞
Controversy Over LLaMA: Meta's Open-Source Language Model Draws Lawmaker Attention & Commercial Release Announcement
Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, is planning to make its open-source Large Language Model (LLM) LLaMA commercially available, despite mounting concerns from lawmakers. This development comes in the wake of a letter sent to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg by two U.S. senators questioning the LLaMA's leak to 4chan shortly after the model's announcement.
AI Unearths New Drug To Combat Ageing
Scientists in Edinburgh have used artificial intelligence (AI) to find three potential new drugs that could help fight aging. The researchers trained a computer program to spot chemicals that can eliminate unhealthy, aging cells without harming the healthy ones.
This study shows how AI can play a huge role in the future of medical research, speed up research time and simulate research conditions to complete studies in a fraction of the time.
Workato's OpenAI Collaboration for Business Automation Could Put Jobs in Danger
Workato, a leading enterprise automation platform, recently announced its collaboration with OpenAI, marking a significant milestone in business automation. As part of this collaboration, the company will introduce several transformative features:
Enabling businesses to adopt AI at scale to drive efficiency
Introducing Workato Copilot, allowing building of recipes and connectors using natural language
Announcing WorkbotGPT (Coming Soon), a tool that lets users converse in natural language with applications and data to automate work
These advancements could significantly reduce the workforce required for certain tasks, potentially leading to job losses.
Here are some of the jobs that could be in danger following the launch of Workato’s copilot and WorkbotGPT →
Integration Specialists and Developers: Workato's updated platform will include AI-powered tools that enable anyone in an organization to build integrations and automations without requiring sophisticated coding skills.
Customer Support Representatives: The AI Connect tool can be used in automations to deliver new products and services, including enhanced customer support. This could imply automating tasks typically performed by customer support representatives.
Content Creators/Curators: Workato AI Connect can also automate tasks related to content generation and curation, potentially creating and managing content with significantly less human involvement.
IT Professionals and System Administrators: With WorkbotGPT, users can communicate their automation needs using natural language descriptions, and interact with enterprise applications and data in a conversational manner. This could automate many workflows typically overseen by IT professionals or system administrators.

What once would have taken hundreds of hours of special effects, man power, investment, time, and money, can be done in a few minutes of prompting by a single artist what are the implications for industries like hollywood, youtube, and more? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
There aren’t THAT many people using ChatGPT— The ones that aren’t won’t be able to catch up.
A recent article highlighted the sluggish pace of AI adoption, with a mere 4 percent of respondents in a particular survey using an AI chatbot daily, a surprisingly low figure given the buzz around this technology. However, industry experts are sounding the alarm that such slow adoption could have detrimental repercussions for businesses.
Lots of companies and professionals are putting off using AI, hoping to jump in when it's more developed and easier to use. However, creating and setting up AI systems is time consuming.
Workers also need to be trained on new AI systems. Companies & professionals that adopt AI late may lose customers to those that use AI earlier and more effectively.
What are your thoughts? Leave us a comment and let’s get the discussion going!
